The business of the Philippaerts-family is growing constantly. More horses, more people and more work require a professional way of organising the stable.

In this interview Olivier Philippaerts explains how the software Hippovibe has helped the company to keep everything under control.

How did the need arise to look out for a software to manage your horses digitally?

In the last years our company has grown a lot. At the beginning it was only my father in this business. Then my brother Nicola and me joined him and now also my younger brothers are part of the team.

We were looking for a way to keep everything that happens around our horses under control.

And we found a software called Hippovibe, that offered what we were looking for.

What exactly is it that makes it interesting for your stable to work with Hippovibe?

As we get more horses and more people it has become increasingly difficult to manage all the activities in the stable.

We are on the road a lot, so we needed a tool to manage everything that happens at home, even when we are away on a show.

With Hippovibe we can now create the daily plan form anywhere and we can always check up what the horses are doing.

We know when the vet will come for the horses or when the blacksmith did the horses for the last time.

It’s just a matter of having more data in a simple system which is easy to access for everyone.

Which aspect of Hippovibe do you personally use the most?

For me it’s great to make a daily plan for my horses. So I note down which horses are supposed to do what.

Some go in the paddock, others in the forrest. It’s just a matter of creating a clear schedule for my horses, that can be easily accessed by my team members.

I also started to manage my horses’ health with Hippovibe. Creating a clear, digital health record of my horses is very useful. For example, I can now find out more easily whether a treatment has been successful or whether certain health issues come back often over time.

I also plan what’s upcoming. For instance, I can easily see when my horses need to go to the blacksmith again.

Overall the system just saves us a lot of time!
