For over 20 years, the KWPN Select Sale has produced horses that excel at the highest levels, such as Island VG ridden by Kim Emmen, Junior Kannan ridden by Alex Matz, and Rolex Grand Prix winner VDL Groep Zidane of Leopold van Asten. The collection being auctioned during the KWPN Stallion Show is now available for viewing and holds great promise. “These are horses we would love to buy ourselves,” says selection committee member Sjaak van der Lei.

Emerald van ’t Ruytershof’s son Skua descends from the damline of multiple Grand Prix winner Gancia de Muze, ridden by Niels Bruynseels. Samurai (by Cavalier Russe Z) is a half-brother of the KWPN-approved stallion Zèlote VDL, who competes at the highest level. Top quality is in abundance in this KWPN Select Sale collection. Sixteen three-year-old showjumping stallions will be auctioned on Thursday, January 30, by Frederick de Backer during the KWPN Stallion Show in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Both live and online bidding are available.

Renowned grand dams

The intrestingly bred Prudence Gold R.T. Z combines in his pedigree not only Grand Prix sport and breeding stallions Perigueux and Quick Star but is also a grandson of the international 1.50m mare Uranie du Meslier. Future talent Symphograaf (by Pegase van ’t Ruytershof) is a grandson of the renowned top showjumping mare Kroon Gravin, with whom Molly Ashe won several Grand Prix events and World Cup competitions and competed in the World Cup Final in Las Vegas.

Centa de Muze

Winsome van ’t Koningsbos (by Kassander van ’t Roosakker) is a grandson of the internationally 1.45m-classified mare Imogen de Regor, ridden by Callan Solem. This mare is well-known in breeding as the dam of the 1.55/1.60m horses Mithras de Regor (by Elvis ter Putte), a promising BWP-approved stallion, and Latisha de Regor (by Diamant de Semilly). The lineage continues with the renowned mare Centa de Muze, whose value has already been proven with more than ten internationally performing offspring.

After a successful debut at the highest level under Willem Greve, Minute Man, formerly known as O’Neill van ’t Eigenlo, is now making waves with Henrik von Eckermann. His son Seger is part of the collection, as are sons of Chatinue, the half-brother of Balou du Reventon, Jur Vrieling’s rising star Mattias, Lay Out, Cero Blue TN and Cape Coral.
