Save the date: September 7th an exclusive auction, called ‘Horseman Elite Auction’, will take place in the equestrian centre ‘Azelhof’ in Lier (Belgium). The organizers managed to select a unique collection of foals, embryos and dams that are in foal, all belonging to outstanding performance families and focused on showjumping. We all know that Belgian breeders are playing a major role in the world of breeding top showjumpers. Thanks to this auction, one can get access to the market of top breeding.

They attached many value to the sires. One example: five of the 14 presented dams are sired by a stallion that belongs to the top 20 of the most recent WBFSH-sire ranking. During the selection procedure the organizers didn’t only evaluate the sires, but also the dam lines. It’s not a secret that one of the keys of success of the Belgian breeding is that breeders imported the best genetic material from the Netherlands, France and Germany and then started to mix it in a smart way, with proven dam lines as a result. It’s clear that some performance families produce in general better products than other families. The organizers invested many time and energy in searching foals, embryos and dams whose dam lines are undoubtedly an added value.

We invite you to take a walk, starting with the dams that are in foal. If you want to buy a daughter of the Olympic top showjumper Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof (ridden by Harrie Smolders), then we can offer you a unique opportunity, called Eloise EH Z. This Emerald-daughter is combined with the very best of studfarm ‘de Semilly’. Her dam, Eloise de Semilly, performed at the highest international showjumping level, including participation at the 2002 WEG Jerez de la Frontera and several Nations’ Cups, in partnership with Jeff Bloomfield. Eloise de Semilly’s dam, Normandy Night (by the thoroughbred Night And Day), has a great reputation as a producer of approved stallions. In total, she is the dam of five Selle Français-approved sons, amongst them Kalaska de Semilly. Kalaska jumped at five star level and participated at the 2010 WEG in Lexington and the 2008 Beijing Olympic games. Eloise EH Z is in foal of Cornet Obolensky, number 4 in the ‘WBFSH/Rolex sire ranking 2017 jumping’.

Who wants to buy a full sister to the legendary Air Jordan Z (by Argentinus)? In partnership with Daniel Deusser, Air Jordan Z performed for many years at international five star level. One of their highlights was the second place during the 2007 Las Vegas World Cup final. The organisers of the ‘Horseman Elite Auction’ managed to have Argentina (Angola de Hus) in their collection. Argentina is in foal of another showjumping star, Levisto Z.

Do you still remember H&M Butterfly Flip? Of course, you do. This brilliant Robin I Z-daughter jumped very successfully in partnership with Malin Baryard-Johnsson at the Athens and Sydney Olympic games, the San Patrignano European Championship, the Aachen WEG, World cup finals and so on. Thanks to the ‘Horseman Elite Auction’ you can buy a daughter of this outstanding showjumping dam! She’s called Naughty Flip de Muze Z, six-year-old, by Norton d’Eole. Norton d’Eole himself performed at international 1m60 level and is a half-brother to Mylord Carthago and Bamako de Muze, all born out of the fantastic dam Fragance de Chalus.

Estia (by Caretino) is also a rare pearl in the world of top breeding and showjumping. Under the sporting names ‘Coba’ and ‘Cathleen W’ she jumped successfully, respectively in partnership with Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst and Marc Wirths. Estia produced one of the most famous showjumpers, Caspar, better known as ‘Eurocommerce Berlin’, the winner of golden team medals in Aachen (2006) and the European Championship in Mannheim (2007) and also winner of many five-star showjumping classes. Are you kidding? Is it really possible to buy a sister to Berlin? Yes, you can! We are talking about the seven-year-old Lexie C, in foal of Bamako de Muze, the producer of outstanding showjumpers.

Deauville (by Richebourg) is another example of focussing on strong performance dam lines. She will be sold at the ‘Horseman Elite Auction’. She is a full sister to the famous international showjumper Obourg (Yves Vanderhasselt and afterwards in the United States in partnership with Lisa Jacquin). Deauville and Obourg are born out of Jusquiame de Champenotte, foundation dam of BWP performance family 66. Jusquiame also produced the international showjumpers Averal (Clark Glasgow and Tim Stockdale, up to 3*) and Brillante (Harrie Smolders, 5*). Deauville is in foal of progenitor Kannan.

Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof belongs to the Dutch WEG Tryon team. The dam that will be sold at the ‘Horseman Elite Auction’ is in foal of Emerald, namely Quartz Music (born in 2016). The sire of Quartz Music is Elvis ter Putte, a well-known supplier of outstanding showjumpers. Quartz Music’s dam, Joke F, is by progenitor Toulon. Quartz Music belongs to a family full of international showjumpers, amongst them Quarts-Musik (Gilles Bertran de Balanda), Fortis Fortuna (Daniel Coyle and Conor Swail), E-Muze Yek (Simon Nizri and Darragh Kerins), Sea Coast B52 F Z, Cacacha van het Schaeck, Sea Coast Just The Music, Bretling du Paradis Z, El Torreo de Muze, Krapuul F, Jackson van ‘t Laerhof, etcetera.

In this article we can’t describe all dams that will be sold. Let’s finish our walk by talking about Daphina. She is by Indoctro, she belongs to the famous Osterblume-family and she is in foal of Andiamo. This whole package can become yours. Osterblume is dam of the international showjumpers Canaletto and Calido 7. Moreover, she is the grandmother of three horses that all perform at international 1m50 to 1m60 level: Cassito Del Diablo (Kaya Lüthi), Acascia (Jur Vrieling) and Diacord (Morgan Ward). Don’t hesitate to invest in this unique pearl!

And what about the foals? Well, the same story! Their sires are progenitors or young promising stallions and they all make part of strong performance families, amongst them the family of Itot du Chateau, Fragance de Chalus, Uthope de la Roque, Walnut de Muze, Eloise de Semilly, Action-Breaker and Quasimodo van de Molendreef, Vingino, Himalaya van de Padenborre and so on. Soldera ‘BS’, a colt by Urano de Cartigny out of Zalandria (by Voltaire), will also be sold. One month ago, Soldera ‘BS’ was laurelled as the winner of the foal championship in Tienen.

If organisers of an auction want to present an embryo, it has to be something real special. The organizers of the ‘Horseman Elite Auction’ searched and found several unique embryos, amongst them one by Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof out of Kismet 50 (ex-Benedicte, by Kannan). In partnership with Candice S King and Meredith Michaels Beerbaum, Kismet performed in the international showjumping world at the highest level, including Grand Prix, Nations’ Cups and World Cup classes. Kismet’s dam, Famosa Z, produced several other international showjumpers of 1m60 level, such as Good Luck (Cian O’Connor) and Holiday. An embryo by Cornet Obolenksky out of the performance family of Walloon de Muze will also be presented.
