For its 9th edition, The Youngsters Auction once again offers customers the opportunity to try out the auction horses under saddle. From Monday, October 7th to Monday, October 14th, all 5 to 7-year-old show jumping horses will be available for trials at Waaij Stud in Eemnes, Netherlands. "We find it very important that our customers can get a good feeling with the horses and with our auction, therefore, all horses can be tried out at the same location and under equal circumstances," Peter van der Waaij explains on behalf of The Youngsters Auction, which takes place on Tuesday, October 15th.

In addition to the opportunity to try out horses from Monday, October 7th to Monday, October 14th, at The Youngsters Auction all auction horses will be presented again on Tuesday, October 15th, prior to the live auction. "The ten three-year-old horses will showcase their free-jumping abilities, and the ridden horses will make a few jumps under saddle. These horses all have competition experience, so the presentation mainly serves to give our clients once more that live feeling of the horses," explains Peter van der Waaij.

Potential for the big sport

The riding horse collection consists of five 5-year-old show jumping horses, seven 6-year-olds, and one 7-year-old. "A very interesting group of horses, all with competition experience and all ready for the next step. This collection is brimming with quality and ability and with this, certainly a number of horses have the potential to develop into a talent for the big sport. But among the collection are also potential amateur horses and hunters," says Peter van der Waaij.

Interesting three-year-old talents

The selection of three-year-old showjumpers consists of interestingly bred and particularly talented jumpers, mainly from Waaij Stud's own breeding or rearing. "On average, the 3-year-olds are all horses with a lot of potential as jumpers and good, willing characters," says Jasper van der Waaij, who leads the training of the 3-year-old auction horses. "For example, we have offspring of top sport stallions such as Cartello VDL, Balou du Reventon, and Don VHP, as well as proven foundation sires like Aganix du Seigneur, Diarado, and Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN."
