From top established sport-horses to the ultimate stars of tomorrow, the Tops International Auction is proud to unveil the four foals available to the most astute of buyers. 

The foals available at the Tops International Auction are descendants of the most revered bloodlines in the world, including Emerald van’t Ruytershof and Bacardi VDL.

The first of the impeccable collection of horses available through the exclusive Tops International Auction in 2024 are unveiled below.

The dam of Uno is the top mare Danique who under Alberto Zorzi won in Leipzig and Valkenswaard. Danique is a sister of three more international performers, including Andreas Brenner and Benjamin Wulschner’s 1.60m horse Cashman. A sister of Danique gave Giorgio Z who now competes with Mel Thijssen.

Last year the full brother of this filly was announced as probably the most exclusive colt to appear at any auction in 2023! Well, we may have outdone ourselves this year in presenting the filly. This will appeal to breeders and sports professionals across the globe. Both parents have stood on the podium of the Longines Global Champions Tours Grand Prix and the both have jumped in the big championships. The filly is sired by the great Bacardi VDL, who had a stellar career with Edwina Tops-Alexander and Janika Sprunger, jumping the WEG in Tryon, and finishing 2nd in the Doha LGCT Grand Prix, winning the Dubai World Cup and finishing 3rd in Rotterdam.

However the dam of U Jump is even more exclusive. Lintea Tequila is to be considered as one of the best horses that Edwina Tops-Alexander ever rode, maybe even as one of the best mares that ever jumped, regardless of the rider. She finished Top 10 in no less than an incredible 13 5* Grand Prix, winning in Doha and Miami Beach. They were an example of harmony and unity which led them to finish 9th individually at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, with one rail in the 2nd round of the final, keeping them out of the jump-off for the medals... This is the first time a filly out of this mare is presented at an auction.

Unlimited Edition is a colt with an exclusive pedigree. Bacardi VDL and Verdi TN have been incredibly successful as sporthorses and now make an impact as sires of Grand Prix horses. From his limited crop Bacardi VDL has brought John Perez Bohm’s 5* Grand Prix mare Gigi Carmen and young Albert Pisarik’s Young Rider Grand Prix winner Golden Star.

The young mare Obsessive, the dam of this colt is the daughter of superstar Lintea Tequila, one of the best horses Edwina Tops-Alexander ever sat on. Top 3 in 9 World Cups or Grand Prix, including victories in Doha and Miami, an Olympic final in Rio de Janeiro and countless placings in the biggest classes around the globe. That is a summary of Lintea Tequila’s record as a sporthorse.

Utopia is defined as a place of ideal perfection. Dare we say that this filly is not far from perfection? Her sire is the Olympic stallion Emerald whose Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix win contributed to the first LGCT Title of Harrie Smolders. Her dam is Dakota 390 who was a great sportsmare under Alberto Zorzi.
