With thirteen highly talented showjumping horses from the 2022 crop, Trigon Auctions rounds off the year with an outstanding final selection. Once again, the Van de Lageweg family, Frederik De Backer and Stal Tops present a collection whose potential is unmistakable. These horses are on the cusp of their sporting careers and possess all the qualities needed to progress to the higher levels. Bidding is open from 1 to 10 December.
Guided by a deep understanding of what top sport requires, the Trigon Auctions team has assembled a compelling collection of future performers. Among the highlights are offspring of Zirocco Blue VDL, Carrera, Diamant de Semilly, Chin Chin and Cardento, all set to go under the virtual hammer.
Strong genes combined
The collection consists of twelve geldings and one stallion. Each horse meets the high standards that may be expected of future top performers. Genetically they have every opportunity to follow in the footsteps of renowned relatives. The Cardento son Copperfield VDL, for example, was bred out of the WEG competing mare HH Donnatella, who was placed in several Grand Prix and World Cup competitions. HH Donnatella is also the half-sister of former WBFSH ranking leader Tobago Z.
The Glasgow van’t Merelsnest son Springfield VDL was bred from a half-sister to three 1.50/1.60m-levelhorses, including the stallion Etoulon VDL. The Zirocco Blue VDL son Sem GPH likewise has an outstanding pedigree. He is a half-brother to seven international showjumpers, including the 1.50/1.55m performers Dutch Apple, Granny Smith Apple and Hunter Apple. The new Trigon collection also features horses out of the direct damlines to top showjumpers such as Glasgow van ’t Merelsnest and Sapphire, About A Dream and Authentic, Ermindo W and Emmerton VDL.
