Two heavyweight teams combine their talents and address books to build The Collection

To say that the current moment is not favourable to the horse business is an understatement. The sports world is at a standstill, just like the transport sector, not to mention the sanitary rules which are at best vague and at worst strict in the extreme.

It is this "complicated" context that prompted two heavyweight teams to combine their talents and their address books to build The Collection. Milestone Farm – Carlos Pinto and his wife, Willemijn Poels – associated with ST Stables – Steve Tinti – have almost 20 years of expertise on one side and fifteen on the other in the field of horse business.

Their idea was to bring together the best horses present in their stables to constitute an unusual catalogue composed of sixteen horses – fourteen show jumpers and two hunters – which will be auctioned online for 2 days from May 22nd to 24th.

"We had to do something. We couldn't just sit there and wait for the covid-19 crisis to pass. We had to find a way to offer our best horses to clients who are currently unable to come and meet us," said Steve Tinti.

“The hunters are a very big industry in the United States and Canada. With travel being difficult during these times, we would like to offer a top selection of quality hunters from the comfort of your own home," specifies Willemijn Poels, specialist in hunters.

"We wanted to offer some of the best pedigrees on the market for show jumpers as well, which we have managed to do," added Carlos Pinto.

But, The Collection is not just a simple online auction as we have seen before. "The idea was, in addition to the horses offered in the catalogue, to offer outstanding service and guarantees in order to adapt to the current situation," said Carlos Pinto.

The Collection therefore offers to organise the transport of the horse purchased for you. If the border of your country is currently closed, The Collection offers to take care of the horse at the organizers own cost until the border reopens.

For the concept of The Collection to be truly global, it was essential to add a charitable component. “It was one of our first wishes when we thought about this auction. We wanted in one way or another to help children and especially those who are directly or indirectly affected by this pandemic," explains Steve Tinti. This is why the organizers of The Collection have turned to UNICEF and will pay the international organisation ten euros per bid placed during the online auction.

To join The Collection, as a buyer is simple, it just requires prior registration on the website. On the website you can also find all the guidelines and help, to ensure the best possible experience of the first edition of The Collection Auction.

Aconzina PS: Already a winner at international level

Mare, bay, born: 2014, size: L

Action Breaker x Conthargos x Aldatus Z x Grannus

Aconzina PS stands out for her fantastic way of jumping and striking reflexes – both characteristics of her famous sire Action Breaker. Ridden by Spain’s Sergio Alvarez Moya, Action Breaker was one of world’s leading showjumpers and finished third in the prestigious Grand Prix of Aachen. Aconzina PS’ grandsire Conthargos is without a doubt one of the upcoming stallions of the moment – his offspring catch the eye with their jumping technique, rideability and endless scope. As the name suggests, Aconzina PS was bred by Paul Schockemöhle’s Gestüt Lewitz and is closely related to many successful Grand Prix-showjumpers. Dam Conzina is for example the half-sister to no less than five international showjumpers, including Colandus and Paldatus.

Although Aconzina PS is only six years of age, she was already victorious on multiple occasions at international FEI-level. In Valencia, Aconzina PS became the winner of the CSI Young Horse Final for 6-year-olds and also finished second in the following 6-year-old final. In Oliva, Aconzina PS also delivered clear round after clear round with numerous placings.

With her excellent pedigree, outstanding performances and incredible jumping talent, Aconzina PS definitely is an exciting prospect for the future.

Baloubelle; she definitely deserves your special attention. This striking chestnut mare combines scope with light-footedness, reflexes and carefulness. The 7-year-old mare already competed at international level and delivered many great rounds in her age classes up to 1.35m-level.

Baloubelle’s sire Baloubet du Rouet is a showjumping legend; ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa, Baloubet du Rouet became the 2004 Olympic champion as well as a three-time World Cup Final winner. In breeding, Baloubet du Rouet lived up to the high expectations, producing countless Grand Prix-showjumpers, such as Chaman, Palloubet d’Halong, Sydney Une Prince, Bonne Chance CW and many more.
