After a long and successful career which has included a remarkable 97 international wins, Harold Boisset’s T’Obetty du Domaine (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Diams du Grasset, bred by M. Christian Moulin and owned by Bertrand Barascud) has been retired from the sport at the age of 18.
“My Toto, my Queen, a simple thank you is not enough to show you all the gratitude and admiration I have for you and that you deserve,” Boisset shared on social media as he announced the news of the retirement and paid tribute to his fantastic mare. “You made me a victorious rider in almost every competition in Europe. You won from you were 6 to 17, up to 5* level, making us one of the fastest and most consistent pairs on the circuit,” he added – summing up the mare’s international wins to 97, plus an additional 55 international podiums. “You are the mare of my life and we have made a beautiful pair all these years.”
Boisset and T’Obetty du Domaine started competing internationally in 2013, and over the years they recorded five- to two-star wins at venues such as Oliva, Bonheiden, Royan, Courlans, Fontainebleau, Aix-Meyreuil, Maubeuge, Lons le Saunier, Samorin, Vermezzo, Ascona, Valence, Nancy, Lisbon and Paris – to mention only a few. Last year, they won the CSI5*-W 1.50m Prix Boehringer Ingelheim in Lyon, the CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix in Dinard, the CSI4* 1.50m Prix Audevard in Chantilly, as well as two CSI3* 1.50m classes at Haras de Gassin before making their final international appearance together this May.
At World of Showjumping, we wish T’Obetty du Domaine a happy retirement!
