The 10-year-old gelding Amarit d’Amour (Ashby x Damiani) has joined his famous half-brother Cornet d’Amour (Cornet Obolensky x Damiani) at Stephex Stables in Belgium. The two geldings both have the same mother: Daquiri.

Amarit d’Amour has already made his international debut with his new rider Lorenzo De Luca, jumping to a 4th place in a 1.45m class at Sentower Park last weekend. “I am really excited to ride such a good horse like Amarit! I love his personality, he is smart, sensitive and such a competitive horse. I am looking forward to do few more shows with him together to get to know him better,” says the Italian rider to World of Showjumping.

Amarit d’Amour has previously been seen under Germany’s Katharina Offel, who has brought the horse up through the classes from he was a 7-year-old. Last year the pair won a CSI2* Grand Prix at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain and they have been placed up to 1.50m level. On her official Instagram page, Offel writes the following about the sale: “Very happy to see Amarit jumping fantastic with his new rider Lorenzo De Luca this weekend! After three years together, it was an extremely difficult decision to part ways with this very special guy - but seeing him do well with Lorenzo makes it all a little easiest. Best of luck in the future Amarit and Lorenzo.”
