Belcanto Z (Berlin x Mr.Blue), the 11-year-old gelding successfully campaigned by the young Irish rider Michael Duffy, has been sold to Karl Schneider. With Duffy in the saddle, Belcanto Z has impressed many over the recent period of time – showing off with two great perfomances in the CSIO5* Nations Cups of Lummen and La Baule, finishing third at the latter with the Irish team.
On his Facebook account Michael Duffy thanks Belcanto Z's previous owners Maja and Alan Burnell, and states: “Thank you Bono (Belcanto Z) for all the good days we enjoyed together. He is an incredible horse, who will continue his career with his new owner. Onwards and upwards from here, but I would like to thank everyone for all their help, especially his owners Alan & Maja Burnell. Good luck Bono. No doubt we will continue to see you at the highest level.”
