Richard Vogel has parted ways with his mounts Caracho, Caramba 92, Checker and Looping Luna, owners Kevin Murphy and Andrea Sigrist Murphy announced this past weekend. “All horses arrived this afternoon safe and sound in their new stable in Elgg by Steve Guerdat and look happy and content. And we thank Steve for giving this talented bunch a chance,” Kevin Murphy wrote on his Facebook-page on Monday evening.
All four horses have been successful with Vogel in the saddle. The 11-year-old Caracho (Cassilano x Quick Star) recently won a CSI5* 1.50m class in Leipzig, where the 9-year-old Looping Luna (Lord Fauntelroy x Calido I) finished second in the 1.60m Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™. The 12-year-old Caramba 92 (Comme Il Faut 5 x Baloubet du Rouet) has won at CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix-level, while the 9-year-old Checker (Clarcon x Baloussini) has jumped up to 1.40m level.
"We would like to thank Richie Vogel and David Will for the many years that we spent together traveling the world. Also not forgetting their top grooms Felicia Walin and Maria Hellstrom who treated all off the horses as they were their own. I and Andrea would like to wish Richie and David with their excellent team all the very best for the future. We thank you for all of the wonderful memories you created for us,” Kevin Murphy and Andrea Sigrist Murphy included in one of their other Facebook announcements.
