This week, Cian O’Connor will compete Riccardo Pisani’s former championship mount Chatolinue PS (Diablo Blanco x Stakkatol) in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, as the Irish rider makes his international debut with the 12-year-old gelding.

With Pisani, Chatolinue PS impressed during the summer season. At the 2025 Longines FEI Jumping European Championship in A Coruña, Spain, Chatolinue PS jumped clear in the first three rounds to qualify for the individual final and followed up with a double clear round in the Longines FEI League of Nations™ in St. Tropez-Gassin, France, two months later.

As previously reported by WoSJ, Chatolinue PS was originally sold to Belgium. However, within a few days O’Connor had acquired the gelding from Abdel Said – further strengthening his team of horses.

“Abdel and I are close friends, and we also do business together. Abdel told me he just bought Chatolinue, and we both agreed that he would be a huge addition to my string of horses – especially with the World Championship in Aachen in mind for next summer,” O’Connor explained to WoSJ.

“Chatolinue has had outstanding results with Ricardo, both in A Coruña and St. Tropez, as well as in the Grand Prix in La Baule where he finished 6th. My plan is now to get used to him over the winter and hopefully develop a strong partnership with him,” O’Connor said.
