Irish rider Cian O’Connor has purchased another talent through Egyptian rider Abdel Said. His latest addition is the nine year old KWPN mare Be Gentle (Ticalux Verte x Gentleman). Since the end of 2014 the mare has been competed by Jelmer Hoekstra and before that she was with Leon Thijssen. Under Hoekstra Be Gentle was clear in both a 1.50 and a 1.60 class during the CSI3* in Arnhem the first weekend of July.

Cian has already competed his new ride as she was a part of his team of horses for the LGCT in Chantilly last weekend. The new combination seems to have hit it off well as they were third in Saturday’s 1.45 class and had four faults in Sunday’s 1.50 class.
