Marina Frutuoso de Melo’s lovely stallion Coltaire Z (Carthago Z x Voltaire) has been put down due to multiple fractures after a fall last weekend. The 18 year old Coltaire Z and Marina Frutuoso de Melo have won the Portuguese Championships several times, they have participated at three European Championships and have won several international Grand Prix classes together. Marina Frutuoso de Melo states on her Facebook page that “nothing will ever be the same”. Back in 2012 she told World of Showjumping that Coltaire was "the horse of her life".
