At the age of 16, Daniel Bluman's Sancha LS (Chin Chin x Polydor) retires from the sport.

Together, Bluman and Sancha have jumped at the Olympic Games in 2012, the World Equestrian Games in 2014 and at two Pan American Games – in 2011 and 2015. The pair has recorded big wins at venues such as Old Salem, Stockholm, Spruce Meadows and Wellington and have podium finishes from Geneva, Hamburg and Toronto to look back at.

“Sancha took me to every big championship and Grand Prix around the world,” Bluman says to World of Showjumping. “It would have taken me many more years to be where I am today if it wasn’t for Sancha. She was instrumental in my growth as a horseman and a rider.”

“We have so many memories together. Perhaps the best would be London 2012. I was only 22 and she was 9. We had a beautiful championship and an experience that changed my life forever. She made that dream, along many others, come true for me,” Bluman concludes.

At World of Showjumping, we wish Sancha a happy retirement!
