Daniel Deusser has kicked off 2017 in the best possible way: As the new world no. one on the Longines Ranking.
The German rider has pushed his compatriot Christian Ahlmann down to rank two, with 70 points separating the two. New as rank three is Kent Farrington (USA), up from rank four. Also McLain Ward (USA) climbs one spot to rank four, while rank five is Simon Delestre (FRA) who was ranked second last month.
Kevin Staut (FRA) is up two spots to rank six, while Marcus Ehning (GER) stays as rank seven. Eric Lamaze (CAN) is down two spots, and is now rank eight while Scott Brash (GBR) climbs back into the Top 10 and is ranked ninth this month. Penelope Leprevost (FRA) is the only female rider in the Top 10 this month, going down from rank nine to ten.
