Swedish rider Douglas Lindelöw has announced that he has parted ways with the 12-year-old gelding Casquo Blue (Chacco-Blue x Carthago Z).

In 2021, the pair represented Sweden at the Longines FEI European Championships in Riesenbeck, jumped double clear for the winning Swedish team in the Longines FEI Nations Cup in St. Gallen, placed third in the CSI4* Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera, third in the CSI4* Grand Prix in Mannheim, and finished fifth in the CSI5*-W Longines FEI World Cup in Madrid – to mention only a few of their many highlights together.

On his official Instagram account, Lindelöw wrote: "It was a hard goodbye when Casquo Blue left the stable the other day. We shared four years together, starting at 140 level and ending with numerous 160 GP placings, double-clear in Nations Cup and World Cup placings. We were also a member of the Swedish team at the European Championships this year and competed at the Global Champions Tour. Most certainly we would also be going to the World Cup finals in Leipzig this year. With a always positive mind, big heart and strong will he always impressed me and it was a pleasure to compete with him. Thank you you to Stall Zet for the chance to develop this horse and thank you Casper for the amazing partnership we had. With this support over the past five years we now part ways due to Stall Zets 100% focus on the trotting and with me and @fulltofta.showjumping 100% focus on jumping. Me, my team and my upcoming youngsters such as Charlie’s Way or Eldoret same as my experienced horses Cheldon and Casemiro CC are excited to aim for the upcoming shows and championships!"
