Eduardo Alvarez Aznar's 12-year-old Bentley de Sury (Sunday de Riverland x Calvaro Z, bred by Brigitte De Faverges) has been sold and will in the future be seen with Monaco's Anastasia Nielsen. 

Alvarez Aznar confirmed the sale to World of Showjumping after initially announcing it in social media yesterday. On his official Instagram account, Alvarez Aznar wrote: "This chapter comes to an end.. Helping team Spain to qualify for Paris 2024. And being placed in many of the best GP around the world. Now is time to say goodbye to Bentley. Wish all the best for this fantastic horse and her new rider!"

"I'm very excited for the future with this superstar and I’m very thankful for the opportunity that I have been given to ride and to have him in my team," Anastasia Nielsen commented to World of Showjumping. 

With Bentley de Sury, Alvarez Aznar was part of the Spanish team at the 2023 FEI Jumping European Championships in Milan, Italy, helping Spain qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. This year, the pair finished second in the CSI5* 1.60m LGCT Grand Prix at Miami Beach, and jumped double clear in the CSIO5* 1.60m Nations Cup in Dublin. The two also took part at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark.
