Haras des Coudrettes has announced that their mare Quismy des Vaux *HDC will be unable to continue her sports career. It was in June, during the CSIO event in St. Gallen that the 11-year-old mare by Dollar de la Pierre x Super de Bourriere was attacked by a stallion while in her box during the night.

In a statement on their Facebook page, Haras de Coudrettes also express their disappointment with the process of trying to reach a settlement on the damages caused by the accident as no solution has been found with the owners and the rider of the stallion. As a consequence, the case will now be brought in front of a French court.

Under Kevin Staut, Quismy des Vaux *HDC had a very successful career winning major competitions in Antwerp, Doha, Leipzig, Hong Kong and Oslo over the last years.

Quismy des Vaux will now enjoy the fields at Haras des Coudrettes in Normandy.
