Evelina Tovek’s 12-year-old gelding Castello 194 (Cristallo 7 x Lifestyle) has been sold and will in the future be seen flying the Brazilian flag with young rider Maria Elisa Conceicao Gonzaga.

With Tovek in the saddle, Castello won the CSI5* LGCT Grand Prix of Rome in 2017. The gelding also had lots of success with Tovek’s trainer Henrik von Eckermann, winning the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Sopot and the CSIO5* Turkish-Airlines Prize of Europe in Aachen in 2018 as well as finishing second in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final that same year.

On her Instagram profile, Tovek has shared the following statement from Cyor Stables:

“THANK YOU CASTELLO!!
The whole team would like to honor this special white giant and what he has accomplished for @evelinatovek & @henrikvoneckermann_!! He has been the best school master for Evelina reaching for the top sport shortly after her young rider career. Jumping her first 5* GP, riding her first senior NC for Sweden, first World Cup, yet winning her first LGCT GP 5* in Rome, all on him!! Henrik was lucky to saddle him up occasionally for himself winning the 5* GP in Poznan, the „Preis von Europa“ in Aachen and being second in the Top Ten Final in Geneva!! He will always have a special place in our heart and always be that first special horse for Evelina Tovek. Now it’s time for him to teach his new rider. We’re sure he will never let anyone down and make his new team as happy and proud as he made us!! Thank you family Tovek for the trust and support and @karl.schneider.9480 for finding him the perfect new home.”
