While August flew by, Ben Maher's 10-year-old KWPN gelding Explosion W (Chacco Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) – bred by Willy Wijnen – jumped himself to the top of the WBFSH World Ranking List for July, released at the middle of last month. Going from rank five to one, Poden Farms' incredible chestnut is currently ranked as the best horse in the world on 1480 points.

June's ranking leader, the 13-year-old Westphalian mare Toveks Mary Lou (Montendro x Portland L) – bred by Hubert Nienhaus and ridden by Henrik von Eckermann – sits second on the latest WBFSH World Ranking List. Daniel Deusser's ride Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve x Mr Blue) – a 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding bred by Jonas Bellemans – is up from rank seven to three.

Going down from rank two to four, is Maikel van der Vleuten's ride Dana Blue (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway) – a 11-year-old KWPN mare that is bred by J.A.M. Bocken. With the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding Calisto Blue, (Chacco Blue x Con Air) – that has no registered breeder – Daniel Deusser secures a second horse for Stephex Stables' in the top five on the rankings.

On the studbook ranking, KWPN still leads the way on 7496 points with Explosion W, Dana Blue and H&M Christian K (Namelus R x Calvados/Sable Rose) as their three best representatives. Rank two is the Westphalian Studbook that has 6203 points – with Toveks Mary Lou, Lucifer V (Lord Pezi x Grandeur) and Moon Ray (Cornet Obolensky x Contender) being their best three ambassadors. BWP follows as rank three with 6180 points, and has H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Animo’s Hallo), Jasmien vd Bisschop (Larino x Chin Chin) and Gancia de Muze (Malito de Reve x Nimmerdor) as their top three horses.
