Very sadly, Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann's 13-year-old gelding Büttner's Mimimax (Cornado I x Antaeus) has passed away.
Meyer-Zimmermann developed Büttner's Minimax from a young horse all the way up to jumping at five-star Grand Prix level. Earlier this year, the pair won the CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix in Münster and placed third in the CSI5*-W 1.60m Longines FEI Jumping World Cup in Helsinki – to mention some of their success together.
On her official Instagram account, Meyer-Zimmermann wrote: "My beloved Minimax! You left us today, way too early and totally unexpected. Our entire team is in great mourning and I am so sad that I have no words. You were my beloved unicorn, my friend, my superstar, my hero and my rock. You were the boss of the stable and stole the limelight at the shows. You loved the big stage. No fence was too high for you, no ditch too far and no audience too loud. You had a lot of fans and everyone wanted to take a picture with you during stable tours. You will be missed by all of us and most of all by me."
Our thoughts are with Janne and all those close to Minimax at this difficult time.
