Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Alberto Michan and Jeroen Dubbeldam's former partner Carusso LS La Silla (Montebello La Silla x Joost) has passed away at the age of 20, the Mexican La Silla Stud announced on Monday. "Thank you Carusso LS La Silla for all the joy," the La Silla Stud wrote in a statement.
With Bengtsson in the saddle, the stallion was successful at five-star Grand Prix level and finished in the top three at venues such as Lyon, Oslo, Redefin, Rio, Valkenswaard and Zurich. With Michan – who took over the reins in 2013 – Carusso LS La Silla jumped at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France. In 2016, Dubbeldam began competing the stallion and went on to finish in the top five in the Grand Prix in Amsterdam, Arezzo, Ommen and St. Tropez.
Our thoughts are with all those close to Carusso LS La Silla.
