Abdullah Al Sharbatly has announced that his top horse Crazy Quick (Chacco Blue x Quick Star) has passed away.
"We are really sad and heart broken to announce Crazy Quick’s sudden death. Our beloved Crazy Quick had blessed and a good day, he had sudden colic after and was immediately hospitalized but the vets couldn’t save him after trying everything they could," reads the statement from Al Sharbatly on his Facebook page.
Before Al Sharbatly took over the reins, the 13-year-old gelding was successfully competed by Poland's Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski and the pair took part at the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014 and at the European Championships in Aachen in 2015. Al Sharbatly bought the gelding in 2017, making the first international appearance with Crazy Quick in October last year. The pair won a CSI2* Grand Prix in Al Ain last December, as well as recording four-star wins in Abu Dhabi in January as well as a five-star win in Dubai.
Our thoughts are with all of Crazy Quick's connections.
