Very sadly, Malin Baryard-Johnsson's former top horse H&M Tornesch 1042 (Lux x Bollvorm's Libero H) has passed away at the of 24.
Tornesch and Baryard-Johnsson represented Sweden at two European Championships – in 2011 in Madrid and in 2015 in Aachen – as well competing at two FEI Nations Cup™ Finals and qualifying for three FEI World Cup™ Finals. The two were one of Sweden’s most reliable couples for years, and recorded several podium finishes together in Nations Cups, World Cups and Grand Prix competitions before the stallion was retired from the top sport at the of 16 to focus on breeding and being a school master for his owner's children.
Baryard-Johnsson has paid tribute to Tornesch through H&M We Love Horses' social media, where she said: “H&M Tornesch was a fantastic horse with an amazing personality and we really got close during our years together. So many great results and memories, he was one of a kind and has meant a lot for me and my career.”
