Edited press release from Van Triest Horses

Juulia Jyläs’ long-time partner Finishing Touch Wareslage (Quival x Toulon) has been retired from the sport and will in the future focus on his breeding career at Gerd Sosath’s EU station near Bremen, Germany.

With Jyläs in the saddle, the now 15-year-old BWP stallion represented Finland at the European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2017 and in Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2019 as well as at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA in 2018. The pair had some great results together; last year they won the CSIO3* 1.60m Grand Prix in Uggerhalne, Denmark and took a fourth place in a CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix in Knokke, Belgium as well as a fourth place in a CSI5* 1.55m in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

“This is a great opportunity to have a proven Grand Prix stallion with the blood of Quidam de Revel from a proven Grand Prix mare by Toulon versus Grandeur in our stables next year,” Gerd Sosath says in a statement. “The stallion has a personality, great movements, an outstanding show character, blood and all the scope. It seems that he also gives these important qualities to his offspring.”
