The now 16-year-old mare HH Ashley (Acorado I x Chasseur I) will retire from the sport to focus on a breeding career.
On their Instagram account, owners Double H Farm write: “This beauty is off to Belgium today to start her breeding career. Thank you, HH Ashley, for so many great rounds and to everyone who was part of her journey”.
Together with Rodrigo Pessoa, HH Ashley enjoyed a lot of success with international victories in Caen, Rotterdam, Washington and Harrisburg as well as jumping on the Brazilian team at the Pan American Games in 2011 where she helped claim the team silver medal. Later on McLain Ward took over the reins, and this year the mare jumped with Maggie Mc Alary in the saddle.
At World of Showjumping, we wish HH Ashley a happy and peaceful retirement!
