Hofgut Albführen has secured the 12-year-old mare Bianca (Balou de Rouet x Cardento) for Steve Guerdat.

“I would like to congratulate Albführen, the new owners of the amazing Bianca and I hope she gives them as much pleasure as she did our family,” says Bianca’s former owner Hannah Mytilineou to World of Showjumping. “I would also like to truly thank Steve for his absolute dedication, love and care that turned her from an “awkward teenager” into a “magnificent lady”. Under Steve, she has become a household name and one of the best horses in the world and I couldn’t be more thrilled and excited that Steve gets to keep her. I wish them both and the new owners continued success at the highest level. And a thank you to Bianca for the years of fun and excitement, I will still be your biggest groupie…”

With Guerdat in the saddle, Bianca has rocketed to stardom. This year she jumped to individual bronze and the FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, as well as recently finishing 2nd in the five-star Grand Prix in Lyon and 3rd in the Longines FEI World Cup at the same event. Bianca was 5th in the five-star Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen this season, 4th in the Rolex Grand Prix of Knokke and won the Rolex Grand Prix at Windsor back in May.
