Ines Joly’s 11-year-old gelding Ambassador Z (Aganix du Seigneur x Pablo van Berkenbroek) – who the French rider won the CSI5* 1.60m Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Monaco with last summer – has been acquired by AS Sport Horses, and will now be ridden by Samuel Hutton.

Joly announced the sale on social media, writing: “Ambassador Z, you’ve been such an amazing partner… I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have crossed paths with this little champion. Only one year together, during my very first season jumping 5*, and still, you made my dreams come true… From winning the 5* Grand Prix in Monaco, to finishing 2nd in the 4* GP in Rabat, and jumping my first LGCT final… An experience that went far beyond anything I ever dreamed of. You gave me moments I’ll never forget, and took me higher than I ever thought possible. It’s never easy to say goodbye, but I know he’s in good hands. I’m excited to see him shine under @samuelhutton's saddle in the USA with the @as.sporthorses_stables team and I’m sure we’ll keep hearing his name.”

“We are very excited to have Ambassador with us, joining Sam in the US,” AS Sport Horses’ Abdel Said commented to World of Showjumping. “Ines did an amazing job with Ambassador, and we look forward to continue on her work after she won the LGCT Grand Prix in Monaco and had many international placings with him. We think he will be a great horse for the US.”
