Aram and Diane Ampagoumian have acquired the now 13-year-old gelding Landon de Nyze (Comilfo Plus Z x Quadrillo, born Crack de Nyze Z), securing the ride for Colombia’s Mark Bluman.
Bluman took over the reins on the talented chestnut in December last year, and the two quickly formed a successful partnership. In December, the pair won a CSI5* 1.55m Grand Prix qualifier at Desert International Horse Park and followed up with a victory in the CSI4* 1.55m WEF Challenge Cup Round 4 at Wellington International at the end of January. In February, the duo finished second in the CSI5* 1.60m Modon Grand Prix at the Winter Equestrian Festival – their first five-star Grand Prix together.
“I’m very thankful to Aram and Diane for the opportunity to keep riding this amazing horse and I’mlooking forward to the future,” Mark – who is aiming for participation at this year’s World Championships in Aachen with Landon – commented to World of Showjumping.
Mark’s cousin Daniel Bluman and Over The Top Stables acquired Landon – Kent Farrington’s 2023 Pan-Am team gold and individual silver medallist – in January 2025, adding back the suffix of breeder Danny Nijs. After a solid 2025-season with Daniel, Mark took over the ride on Landon.
Prior to joining Bluman, Landon had huge success with Kent Farrington. At the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, Landon claimed team gold and individual silver with Farrington. In May 2023, the two won the CSIO5* 1.60m Longines Grand Prix in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and in July, the CSI5* 1.60m Pan American Cup presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows, Canada. After a strong season full of highlights, the pair closed off 2023 on top of the final FEI Ranking for horse-and-rider combinations in jumping. In 2024, the two won the CSI4* 1.50m WEF Challenge Cup Round 4 and the CSI5* 1.55m Kingdom of Bahrain Stakes for The King's Cup at Royal Windsor Horse Show.
