American show jumper Nicolette Hirt has gained the ride on the 12-year-old Selle Français mare Fleurette (Verdi TN X Concorde).
"I’m so thrilled to have this mare on my team now. She has been all over the world and I’m excited to learn from all of her experience. I’m so lucky to have her in my string and can’t thank everyone involved enough for making this happen," commented Nicolette to World of Showjumping.
Fleurette, previously ridden by Laura Kraut (USA), Stefanie Carroll (NED), and Pénélope Leprevost (FRA), has picked up notable wins across the globe up to the 5* level. Most notably, Fleurette was one of only two clear rounds in the $136,300 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Washington CS4*-W to take the win with Kraut in 2019.
“This spring and summer, we’re just going to take our time getting to know her. We’ll start off doing National classes and aiming her toward the 2* and 3* during Split Rock Lexington in June. From there, we’re hoping to jump her in some of the Major League Show Jumping stops,” Nicolette continued.
With an already impressive record, Fleurette will make a strong addition to Nicolette's string of horses with all of the potential to take the 22-year-old rider up through the levels to make her 5* debut.
