Sadly, Lauren Hough's top horse Ohlala (Orlando x Cardento) has sustained an injury and will be forced to take a longer break from competition. The 14-year-old mare has been Hough's leading horse for years, and had a strong 2017-season which included clear rounds for Team US in Barcelona as well as Dublin and was also placed third in the five-star Grand Prix at the Longines Masters of Paris at the end of the year.
On her official Facebook and Instagram accounts, Hough states: "My team and I would like to inform you all that Ohlala has sustained an injury that will take her out of competition for the remainder of this year. Her prognosis is very good, and we expect that, with time and good rehabilitation, she will be back to the top sport next season. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my fantastic owners for their support and understanding. We will be back!"
We wish Ohlala a quick and full recovery, and hope to see her back in the ring soon.
