The Swiss watchmaker Longines was today announced as the new title partner for the FEI Nations Cup series as part of a long-term agreement with the FEI. The new partnership will be celebrated at next month’s FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona. The final will be renamed the Longines FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Final and the series, starting from 2018, will be known as the Longines FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping. Longines has also extended its global partnership with the FEI in an agreement signed in Gothenburg today.

At a press conference during the Longines FEI European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, FEI President Ingmar De Vos signed the deal with Juan-Carlos Capelli, Longines Vice President and head of international marketing. "Our values of tradition, elegance and performance are totally in line with those of the equestrian community," Capelli said. "This will be a long-term partnership," Ingmar De Vos commented when asked for the details of the deal. "A very long-term," he continued. "With the help from Longines, we hope to keep our flagship product Longines FEI Nations Cup on the highest level of the sport and hopefully we will manage to raise the bar."

Rodrigo Pessoa, Ludger Beerbaum and Emile Hendrix were all present at the press conference to express their joy over the new partnership. "I believe that the Nations Cup is the most important product we have, and I am very thankful to Longines for stepping in as the new title sponsor," Pessoa said.
