After two successful years as trainer for the Swedish showjumping team, Henk Nooren has decided to stop. Nooren – an extremely sought-after trainer – has other commitments that make it hard to fulfil the role as coach for the Swedish riders, who are all spread out in Sweden and Germany. “This means I have to go around to each individual rider or meet them in smaller groups. At this point I don’t have enough time to do a good job under these conditions and then I would rather stop,” Nooren explains on the Swedish federation’s website.
Nooren helped the Swedish team to bronze at the 2014 European Championships, and to 2016 Olympic qualification.
