A page turns for French rider Patrice Delaveau, who has announced that he is leaving Haras des Coudrettes in Normandy after 11 successful years working with Emmanuèle and Armand Perron-Pette. During his years with Haras des Coudrettes, the now 56-year-old rider was a mainstay on the French team and won individual as well as team silver at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen – riding Orient Express HDC. Delaveau has also recorded several victories in some of the most prestigious competitions around the world with a number of horses owned by Haras des Coudrettes.
With Orient Express HDC, Delaveau won the CSIO5* Grand Prix of La Baule in 2013, the CSI5* World Cup in Helsinki in 2013 and the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Rotterdam in 2014; with Lacrimoso HDC the CSI5* Grand Prix of Hong Kong in 2013, the World Cup of Leipzig in 2014 and the CSI5* Grand Prix of St Tropez in 2014; with Carinjo HDC the CSI5* Grand Prix of Oslo in 2015; and with Aquila HDC the CSIO5* Grand Prix of La Baule in 2018 as well as the CSI5* Grand Prix of Hong Kong in 2018 – to mention some.
“These last eleven years have been the most beautiful of my sporting career thanks to the unfailing commitment and support of Haras des Coudrettes and the Perron-Pette family,” Delaveau wrote in a statement on social media.
Delaveau will now welcome new owners and investors at stables in Deauville, France, while also continuing to ride some horses from Haras des Coudrettes.
