Serge Lecomte, President of the French Equestrian Federation (FFE), is today detailing FFE’s Olympic and Paralympic Sports Project for 2019-2024. Alongside this project, the FFE has also announced the appointments of Thierry Pomel, Edouard Couperie, Henk Nooren and Barnabas Mandi – who all will be assisting the French jumping team.
Pomel will be in charge of the selections for the French jumping team and will be replacing Philippe Guerdat, who has been in the job since 2013. Under Guerdat, the French team won double silver at the World Equestrian Games in 2014, as well as team gold at the Olympic Games in 2016.
Pomel, individual Vice-World Champion in 1998, will be joined by Edouard Couperie – who will assist on the selections, as well as Henk Nooren and Barnabas Mandi as trainers.
