This week, the FEI General Assembly 2025 takes place in Hong Kong, China.
“As always, the General Assembly is a great opportunity to evaluate where we stand globally as an organisation, while allowing us to look ahead and create our roadmap for the future together,” FEI President Ingmar De Vos and FEI Secretary General Sabrina Ibáñez shared in their welcome note.
The qualification system for the 2028 Olympic Games, as well as the proposed modifications to the FEI rules, including the FEI Jumping Rules – which this year undergo a full revision, are among the key items on the agenda.
On Tuesday, the FEI Board gathers for the second FEI Board meeting of the year, while the regional groups and continental associations meet on Wednesday. The first session on Thursday is dedicated to discussions regarding the role of the future FEI President, while the second session will focus on rules revision and Olympic qualification systems, followed by session three on the FEI digital passport and session four on the FEI World Championships 2026.
On Friday, it is time for the FEI Extraordinary General Assembly, followed by the FEI Ordinary General Assembly, where the 136 national federations will vote on the proposed rule changes. The General Assembly will be live-streamed, and the relevant documents can be found here.
The FEI General Assembly will be followed by another FEI Board Meeting, as well as the FEI Awards Gala.
