Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos – who is captain both for his club and the Spanish national football team – has acquired the 8-year-old talent Eliante Z (Ermindo W x Namelus R) for Spain’s Sergio Alvarez Moya. The famous football player is regarded as one of the best defenders of all times and is now getting involved in international showjumping as he has invested in this Zangersheide-mare previously seen with Camilo Robayo and Kimberley Winsingh. 

“I’m very excited about Eliante’s future,” Alvarez Moya comments to World of Showjumping. “I feel privileged to have this partnership with Sergio Ramos; he is one of the greatest football players of all time who also happens to love horses and top sport. I am sure we will have a lot of fun together, as well as success.”

“It’s very nice for us at Bluman Equestrian to be part of Eliante’s journey,” Daniel Bluman comments on the sale of the mare. “We are lucky to have a great group of horses at the moment which enables us to sell some of the top ones to riders that will take them to Grand Prix level.
