Stephanie Holmén, who has worked at Lisen and Peder Fredricson’s Grevlunda Stables for the last ten years, has decided to start up her own business.
During her years at Grevlunda, Holmén had lots of success – first and foremost with Flip’s Little Sparrow (Cardento x Robin Z) that she won the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup with in Zürich back in 2018. Holmén also had several good results with other horses, including H&M Crusader Ice, and developed many horses to top level while working at Grevlunda.
“This summer, I would have been at Grevlunda for ten years, and it has been fantastic,” Holmén says. “I couldn’t have found a better place to work – both Lisen and Peder are fantastic people and they have made me the rider and the person I am today. So far, we only decided that I will leave, but not exactly when. First, we will find a replacement for me, and it is important that we get a good closure for everyone so there is no stress. I hope that we in some way can have a cooperation in the future.”
“I will start up something on my own now but haven’t decided how yet,” Holmén explains. “I will see which doors open, and what possibilities there are. My dream is to find horse owners that will support me long-term, like Astrid did with Flip’s Little Sparrow, so I can make a shot at the top sport. I know it's aiming for the stars, but I’m allowing myself to do so.”
