Sultan (Irco Mena x Voltaire) will return to his former rider Bruce Menzies to retire. The now 13 year old gelding was sold to Saudi Equestrian in 2011, and Abdullah Al Sharbatly took over the reins. Together the two went to the 2012 Olympic Games, where they were a part of the bronze winning team from Saudi Arabia.
The horse also had great success with Menzies in the saddle, who produced the horse - taking Sultan to the top level of the sport.
Health-issues are behind the decision to retire Sultan.
