The 2015 Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final’s participants; Gregory Wathelet

In just a few days, the 2015 Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final takes place in Geneva. In our count down towards the final, WoSJ presents each of the riders in it – this time it is Gregory Wathelet's turn.

Born: 10.9.1980

Represents: Belgium

Number on world ranking: 7 (ranking no. 179)

2015 highlights: In August, Gregory Wathelet became a well deserved European Vice Champion in Aachen aboard Conrad de Hus. Other highlights this season include winning the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona with the Belgian team, as well as taking the gold medal at the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for 7-year-old horses with MJT Nevados S. Greg has also won a whole bunch of other big classes this year; the Cana Cup at Spruce Meadows, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Chantilly, the Golden Drum in Basel - to mention some of his major 2015 wins. 

Championship record: Wathelet has competed at three European Championships, two World Championships and one Olympic Games - and has individual silver from this year's Europeans.
