Reed Kessler's 11-year-old mare Tradition de la Roque (Kannan x Oberon de Moulin) has been sold, and the new rider is Lauren Fischer.
Tradition de la Roque had many good results with Kessler in the saddle all the way up to five-star Grand Prix level, before Kessler last autumn handed over the reins to McLain Ward after starting her studies at Columbia University. With Ward, Tradition de la Roque jumped to victories at the American Gold Cup, the Royal Horse Show as well as at the Winter Equestrian Festival.
On her official Instagram page, Fischer writes: "I am beyond thrilled to welcome the newest member to the family! Welcome Tradition de la Roque! I am beyond blessed to be able to ride such an amazing horse! I can’t thank my parents, Mclain Ward and Lee Mckeever enough for making this all happen! I still feel like I’m dreaming!"
Fischer, a 21-year-old American rider, and Tradition de la Roque jump their first international show together this week at Saugertiers.
