Two experienced top-level horses join Ireland’s Darragh Kenny: The now 13-year-old mare Urhelia Lutterbach (Helios De La Cour Ii x Emilion) as well as the 13-year-old gelding Uccello de Will (Marlou Des Etisses x Marlon).
The McCahill-family, who previously has supported Kenny with his former top horse Go Easy de Muze, has now given him the ride on Urhelia Lutterbach – that they acquired in the autumn of 2019. The mare has previously been seen with Gregory Cottard (FRA) and Kevin Staut (FRA) – before Kerry McCahill (USA) took over the reins. With Staut in the saddle, Urhelia Lutterbach won the CSI5* Longines Grand Prix of Lyon in 2019.
"She is a very special mare, and I am really excited to have her," Kenny comments to World of Showjumping. "I am happy to work with the McCahill-family again. I think this horse can be a superstar for me, especially with the Olympics coming up."
Kenny has also acquired Uccello de Will, that previously has competed at the highest level of the sport with both Simon Delestre (FRA) and Pedro Veniss (BRA). "I think Uccello de Will has potential for the biggest classes," Kenny comments.
