Kevin Staut’s Urhelia Lutterbach (Helios De La Cour II x Emilion) has been sold, and the new rider will be 23-year-old Kerry McCahill.
Earlier this month, the 11-year-old Selle Francais mare won the CSI5* Longines Grand Prix of Lyon with Staut in the saddle and has also impressed during the summer season with her performances in Aachen, Calgary, Chantilly and Valkenswaard.
"We had been looking for a new horse to jump competitively on five-star level for quite some time over the last year, and when we found out that Urhelia Lutterbach was for sale we thought she could end up suiting me quite well," Kerry comments to World of Showjumping. "Her show record is outstanding, and I was really looking for something at this level that wasn’t green. Kevin Staut, Gregory Cottard and all involved with the horse in the past have done a phenomenal job and I am very privileged to have come across her. My future goals with her would involve competing in Nations Cups teams for my country, as well as some five-star shows in America and Europe when we’re both ready."
