Zascha Nygaard Lill’s five-star Grand Prix winner Com’On Stanley (Argelith Stakkato x Calido I) has been sold to Qatar. This weekend, Com’On Stanley – acquired by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in June – makes his international debut with Sheikh Ali Khalid Al Thani (QAT) at CSI4* Valkenswaard (NED).
With Denmark’s Zascha Nygaard Lill in the saddle, Com’On Stanley won the CSI5* Longines Grand Prix in Hong Kong in February this year. Nygaard Lill has ridden the 10-year-old gelding since 2022, and the two have recorded many wins together, taking top honours in Lastrup, Riesenbeck, Kronenberg, Sopot, Mexico City, Hagen and Opglabbeek – in addition to their five-star Grand Prix win in Hong Kong.
Sheikh Ali Khalid Al Thani – who represented Qatar at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky (USA) and at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen (FRA) – placed sixth individually at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (BRA) riding First Devision (Andiamo x Perhaps vh Molenvondel).
