Casting is the perfect mix of quality, pedigree and performance. He’s an athletically built young stallion with a beautiful technique, limitless scope and captivating presence. This horse is extremely powerful, careful and consistent over jumps. He’s also naturally focused and well-mannered with an excellent conformation and build that gives a good indication of what he’s capable of. With these looks and jumping quality, this horse has a very promising competition and breeding future ahead of him.

Licensed by the Holstein Breeding Association

Casting is licensed by the Holstein Breeding Association and, despite being only six years old, he’s already sired over 100 offspring. At his 70-day test in Schlickau he was awarded top index scores: 10.0 for character, 9.5 for willingness to work and 9.0 for temperament. He also got impressive scores for jumping aptitude and rideability.

On public outings his sheer presence eclipses everything else, and he’s already embarked on a model career as competition horse with more than 20 wins and numerous placings in young horse classes. As a four year old Casting won the young horse championship finals in Fontainebleau, France, and he’s also won several young horse classes as a five and six year old. In other words, he’s now ready to move up the grades with any rider.

Pedigree

Casting’s pedigree is just as impressive as his quality, character and competition record. His sire Catoki, ridden by Philipp Weishaupt, won Grand Prix, World Cup and Nations Cup classes. They were one of the world’s best ever horse and rider partnerships and Catoki has long been among the top one percent in the German Equestrian Federation's breeding index. Catoki was sired by Cambridge and is half-brother to another licensed stallion, Casco Z. Successful offspring include Cool Down (Ludger Beerbaum), AD Contanga (Athina Onassis) and Catover (Philipp Weishaupt), as well as the currently very successful Catch me if you can, a German A-squad horse ridden by Laura Klaphake that competed on the German team at the European Championships in Gothenburg. The dam’s sire Cassini I is one of the most famous and influential Holstein jumping horse producers of all. He was already demonstrating his vast scope at a very young age and went on to compete at championship level. Countless offspring are competing in Grand Prix and World Cup classes, European and World Championships and even Olympic Games. They include individual world champion Calvalor Cumano (Jos Lansink), team world champion Berlin (Gerco Schröder) and the Calgary Grand Prix winner Cabrio van de Heffinck (Olivier Philippaerts). This coveted pedigree is rounded off by top stallion Calido I, producer of outstanding horses such as Coupe de Coeur (Beerbaum), Nobless M (Pius Schwizer) and California (Taizo Sugitani).

This beautiful stallion is a first-rate competition horse
with star quality.
