CSI5* Brussels Stephex Masters 2017

The 2017-edition of the Brussels Stephex Masters kicks off on Wednesday 30th of August, running through for five full days until Sunday 3rd of September with a program packed with top sport and exclusive entertainment.

Stephex Stables will again welcome some of the best riders in the sport to their event, and the star-studded line-up include fifteen of the twenty-five best riders on the world ranking.

One of the biggest names is perhaps world no. one Kent Farrington (USA), who gets company from world no. four and five which are Stephex Stables' own Lorenzo De Luca (ITA) and Daniel Deusser (GER), world no. six Christian Ahlmann (GER), world no. eight Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) and world no. nine Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP).

Legends of the sport have also entered for the Brussels Stephex Masters: Ludger Beerbaum (GER), Roger Yves Bost (FRA), Beezie Madden (USA) as well as brothers John and Michael Whitaker (GBR) can all be seen in action at Stephex Stables this weekend – a real treat for the crowds that will get to see some of the world's most decorated riders in action.

Fresh from his team gold and individual bronze at the European Championships comes Cian O'Connor (IRL), while Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) comes with team silver in the luggage to the Brussels Stephex Masters.

The full Belgian team from Gothenburg consisting of Gregory Wathelet, Niels Bruynseels – last year's Rolex Grand Prix winner at Stephex, Pieter Devos as well as Jerome Guery will of course be present as will Belgium's leading lady rider Gudrun Patteet who won the Rolex Grand Prix of Knokke in July. Also Zoe Conter, team silver medallist from the 2017 European Championships for young riders, will compete in the five-star classes.

A total of 672 532 Euro in prize money will be on offer, and Audi will present a Q5 to the winner of the CSI5* Grand Prix presented by Rolex as well as a Q2 to the winner of the Top Series Grand Prix. In all, nine Longines Ranking competitions are included in the program for the three weeks.
