Austria’s Max Kühner and Elektric Blue P (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x For Pleasure) won Friday’s CSI5* 1.55m Prix Normandie Drainage at the 2026-edition of CSI5* Le Printemps des Sports Équestres in Fontainebleau, France.

"I'm really happy with the result," Kühner said in a press release from Le Printemps des Sports Équestres. "Although I've been riding Elektric for a long time, he has just returned from a long break.  It's never easy to know when it's the right time to dive back into the thick of things. There's the physical side, but also the mental side. Today, he seemed very comfortable in the arena, so I just went along with him. We're getting a good feel for each other again and that's a really positive sign, even if I'm still not sure he's totally ready for Sunday's Grand Prix. In any case, he'll rest up tomorrow and then we'll see." 

With a time of 69.12 seconds, Kühner and Elektric Blue P snatched the win from the host nation’s Julien Epaillard and Le Coultre de Muze (Presley Boy x Vigo d’Arsouilles), who had to settle for second in 70.70. Alexa Ferrer (FRA) on Vitalhorse Fleur d’Oz (Olimbos Merze x Papillon Rouge) placed third when crossing the finish line in 71.41, followed by Martin Fuchs (SUI) with Conner Jei (Connor 48 x Cosimo) in fourth in 71.63 and Bertram Allen (IRL) aboard Qonquest de Rigo (Fantomas de Muze x Indoctro) in fifth in 71.66.

Kühner continued his winning form in the second CSI5* class of the day, taking the top honours in the CSI5* 1.50m Prix Cheval TV with Kurt D Z (Kentucky van’T Ruytershof x Comme Il Faut 5). Petronella Andersson (SWE) on Odina van Klapscheut (Zazu x Landor S) placed second, followed by Tom Wachman (IRL) aboard Obora’s Laura (Luidam x Non Stop) in third.
