Abdel Said (BEL) and the 14-year-old mare Arpege du Ru (Apache d'Adriers x Quat'Sous) took Friday's biggest win at Sweden International Horse Show 2024 in Stockholm – in the CSI4* 1.50m presented by Agria.
With a time of 34.47 seconds, Said and Arpege du Ru took the top honours after a jump-off between nine horse-and-rider combinations, besting a total starting field of 18 in a competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group C.
Harrie Smolders (NED) and Mr Tac (Non Stop x Toulon) took the runner-up spot with a time of 35.48 seconds, followed by home hero Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE) and Zuccero HV (VDL Zirocco Blue x Caretino 2) in third in 36.59. Amanda Landeblad (SWE) and For Killy (Otangelo x For Pleasure) finished fourth after clocking a time of 37.63 seconds, ahead of Oliver Fletcher (GBR) on BP Pocahontas (Emilion x Pacino) in fifth in 37.95.
