Brazil's Luiz Francisco de Azevedo finished in 59.28 seconds aboard Colin (Colandro x Amethist) to take runner-up position three and a half second behind Said, while USA's Reed Kessler finished third on Cos I Can (Olympic Lux x Harlequin du Carel).
Fourth and fifth was Dutch rider Leopold Van Asten with VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (Chacco-Blue x Aldatus) and French rider Patrice Delaveau with Orient Express HDC (Quick Star x Le Tot de Semilly).
Later in the day, Maikel van der Vleuten secured a Dutch win in the 1.45 Azkar Trophy aboard Salomon (Stolzenberg x Aramis).
